Jim is the Managing Member and Chief Investment Officer of Investment Counselors of Redlands LLC. Prior to founding ICR, he was a portfolio manager with the Private Client Services division of The Seidler Companies Inc. He completed his pre-medical education at Columbia Union College and attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine (1977-79).

As Chief Investment Officer, Jim is responsible for developing the firm’s macroeconomic view and implementing investment strategies that are consistent with that view.

Jim earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® Designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies in 2006. The AIF Designation certifies he has specialized knowledge of fiduciary standards of care and their application to the investment management process.

In his free time, Jim enjoys fly fishing, playing golf, and reading. He and his wife, Nancy, moved to Redlands in 1977 and raised their two children here.
